A playful riddle leaflet was published for the exhibition Kartoffel by Phung-Tien Phan, filled with small tasks and questions about the artworks. The leaflet allowed exploring the exhibition’s themes alone or in a group by changing perspectives. The playful leaflet invited everyone to examine existing role models, question the image of masculinity shaped by Hollywood, and honor their own personal heroes. And why Kartoffel (potatoes)? In the end, the versatile vegetable was magnificently staged, so the idea of the potato as a dirty word quickly faded into the background.
