Michael E. Smith (*1977) arbeitet mit ausrangierten Dingen, in denen die akkumulierten Spuren ihrer Existenz nachklingen, und verwandelt sie durch einfache Gesten in fesselnde, unheimlich empfindsam wirkende Skulpturen. Für seine erste Einzelausstellung in der Schweiz gestaltet der in Detroit geborene Künstler neue Werke, die seine seltsame Archäologie der Menschlichkeit im 21. Jahrhundert weiterspinnen.
