Leave a Hello introduces eight artists who were awarded the art grant from the Kunstkredit Basel-Stadt in 2022. The selected works are almost all presented to the public for the first time. Some works have been developed specifically for the Kunsthalle Basel’s spaces. They create a momentary sense of community among the artists, visitors, and organizers.

Leave a Hello serves as a starting point to closely examine the work of these artists and to follow their artistic endeavors past the presented works. Through countless exhibitions, projects, and activities organized by them, they shape, influence, and transform the art scene in the region and beyond.

Leave a Hello is a gesture of hospitality, an invitation for critical engagement, and an opportunity to connect with one another. Leaving a message signifies the beginning of a relationship through spoken words or expressed thoughts.
