Kunsthalle Basel has been invited by Theater Basel to organize an evening for its ongoing series „Archiv des Alltags” (‘The Archive of the Everyday’) and will present an evening of talks and performances in conjunction with the individual exhibitions of Aleana Egan and Ahmet Öğüt (20.04. – 08.06.08).
In their works Aleana Egan (born 1979 in Dublin, Ireland) and Ahmet Öğüt (born 1981 in Diyarbakir, Turkey) are delving into everyday life to transform their findings into sculptures, drawings and performances. On the evening at Theater Basel, their different working methods will be presented.
