A significant concern of Kunsthalle Basel is the mediation of contemporary art. Every first Sunday of the month, Kunsthalle Basel staff accompany you through the current exhibitions and give you insights into the works of art on display. The focus is on an open exchange and space for your reflections. Current contents are discussed together, and references are made to your world. On selected weekends, there are also public tours in English and curator tours, which provide insights into the development of an exhibition and report on the exchange with the artists. The art education department also offers tours for children and families to bring the works of art closer to the youngest visitors playfully and interactively for each show. They can spin their own stories, make new connections, and interactively explore the works in small experiments.

We are also happy to accept private bookings on request and design your event with you at Kunsthalle Basel, within or outside our regular opening hours.
Private tours for groups and individuals (max. 20 persons per group):
- Within opening hours: 150 CHF (excl. reduced entrance fee of 8 CHF per person).
- Outside opening hours: All-inclusive fee incl. entrance fee 650 CHF
