In her artistic practice, Vanessa Safavi explores the meaning of monuments within different cultures. The edition, a digital color print, is related to an artwork that Safavi presented on the back wall of Kunsthalle Basel in 2012. It consisted of different geometrical lines and curves: light, white-coated steel frames in three sizes and open brass rings. Just as the artwork to which it is related, the edition emphasizes the separate forms’ individuality as well as the collective when the forms are arranged as a complete work.
